Stitched Soundscapes

An ongoing series of work exploring sonic visualisation, or the translation of sound into image.

Two framed stitched works are displayed, side by side, on a white wall. The works are visual representations of sound in cross stitch. In the piece to the left the central areas are mainly shades of red, peach and pink with a scattering of blue and purple at the top. In the piece to the right the central areas are mainly shades of blue, with a scattering of pink and purple at the bottom.The piece is mounted in a pale wood box frame. Both pieces are mounted in a pale wood box frame. In this installation the soundscape was accessed via QR code.
